‘Robertson saved thousands of lives. His story is one that everyone should know’ said ‘THE STAR’ Reporter Mr Paul. David Robertson has made a significant contribution to society. In many African countries he is famous in the news and in the papers. Despite losing his right arm and leg, bravery, selflessness, courage, perseverance is a very meaningful image of his heroism. Cameroonians see him as a hero because of his never ending perseverance and his extremely generosity in charity.
Robertson had the goal to be the anchor amongst the sick, the neglected, the dying and the vulnerable children. He created the organization Drive Against Malaria Foundation and won World Health Organisation's recognition. He founded this organization with Dutch and American members, from 1988 supported those infected with deadly malaria. CEO Robertson began expanding internationally. The United Nations recognized his work bringing help to suffering African communities. 34 African countries benefit from Robertson's support. In Cameroon alone over 190 village projects has been successfully created malaria free zones. How often do we choose not to intervene with the broken people in Africa?' David Robertson is one of the few people that rise against the negativity, ignored the impossible and changed it into the achievable. We can change the life of someone else. 'If you can't help a hundred people, than just help one' is Robertson's drive. Even kindness or a thoughtful word. Anything to help a person, to know that someone cares for them. That they are not alone in the world and not forgotten.
